The Sunday calls will last 90 minutes with an optional 30-minute group chat afterward. Each week, you’ll have roughly one hour of homework – this includes each week’s readings. There will also be a quick email exchange with your accountability buddy.
Your participation is integral to successfully completing the program – for yourself and others.. That said, the calls will be recorded and posted for review if you can’t attend.
No experience necessary. In fact, you don’t even need to be an artist. This program is open to anyone who feels called to help foster creative expression and professional practices in others. Also welcome are those artists who might be looking for mentorship themselves.
Graduates receive a certificate of completion documenting their participation in this comprehensive 10-week artist mentorship training program. While this is not an accredited certification, it demonstrates your commitment to developing professional mentorship skills and your completion of this structured curriculum.
You’ll need a reliable internet connection and a computer or tablet with a camera and microphone. We meet via Zoom for our weekly sessions.
Each week we will examine the different steps of working as an artist. We’ll study the best professional practices for artists as you develop your own mentorship and coaching skills. You’ll learn how to build an artist mentorship/coaching business as you enhance your personal art practice. Drawing on our assigned homework, Crista will lead each session where we’ll learn how to apply the information to our own mentoring work. You’ll participate in breakout rooms to mentor one another. We’ll have invited guests, other professionals in the worlds of mentorship and marketing. There will be an optional 30 minutes at the end of our sessions for interactive discussion and Q+As.
